Photography 1 class

I've had the GREATEST experience... Film photography has been amazing! I just wish I could continue doing this forever...

yes, it has been stressful... There were deadlines and I wasn't exactly the most skilled photographer in class. The other people in my class are SO talented. I'm a noob and I'll continue being one till I become the best I can be(which is never... lol).

I've learned heaps about other photojournalists of the 80's, 90's and etc., such as Ansel Adams, Laura Levine(my favourite), Everett Kennedy Brown (my second most favourite) and the list is just insanely long.

Oh, AND... this is so embarrassing... but I've actually learned a few stuff about my camera too... Buttons I never knew existed on my camera... Plus, I never knew SLRs and DSLRs had a LIGHT METER... LMFAO. I've been taking photos without my lightmeter till now. Anyway, my point is, I've learned very very valuable lessons about photography. *pffft

Anyway, it is week 13 and I'm done with class :( *sniffles*... I'm going to miss the darkroom. I'm going to have to start liking Photoshop more now... :( I can't be F'd to learn how to use it properly... I need photoshop tutorials! Any volunteers? I'll pay you 50 ringgit for one lesson (serious).

My stinky portfolio photos :)

I scanned these so they're not as sharp as I had hoped for.

Assignment 1- Exploring the frame

I am also using this image for the Noel Chettle Art Prize. LOL... If I win, I'll laugh so hard...

Assignment 2-Time, People, Place

This one was meant to be a photo essay...

Theme: A Day in the Life of Dennis

Take a walk in his 'shoes'.
He's different in such a beautiful way, I would never want him to change.

Always prepared for the day ahead.

The happiest boy I know.

At his 'secret' spot.

Making the water 'dance' with his feet.

Photographing Den was the best thing! He's the best! Lol... There were other photos but I could only choose 5... :(

Would love to relive that moment again.

Why Now? Why Him?

He left her side on the 4th of October 2008...

Chin Boon Jiin and his cheeky smile will never be forgot.
He was 'pacho the mexican slave' her 'monkey' and her 'baby'.
It is impossible to know how much of joy they have shared with one another.

I am going to miss your jokes, double dates, Nicole's dinners and your presence.

She will never stop smiling for you Jiin. Watch over her and keep that cheeky smile on your face till we all meet again!!! I'll beat you and Jing at go-kart racing this time ok?

We will keep praying for you and your loved ones...
